Colin's first video

I've pulled together a few of the first video clips we have of Colin.  We have his first moments with his mom as well as some fun bath time with the help of his big brother.

Happy Father's Day From Your Boys!

Dear Dad,

I have decided to thank you for everything I can remember in my two years in this world. I might forget one or two things, so sorry for that.

Thank you for swimming with me every day. Thank you playing Legos with me. Don't tell Mama, but she is really bad a Legos. Thank you for the belly laughs when you chase me around the house and jump out and scare me. Thank you for letting me wash your car and sweep the patio and water the flowers. Thank you for taking me on shopping trips to Home Depot and Costco. Thank you for letting me spend extra time in the toy aisles.  Mama always cuts it short. Thank you for changing my diapers, and your patience while I figure out how to use the potty. I will try my best. Thank you for cooking me yummy dinners and teaching me how to spit when I brush my teeth. I hope to someday be able to spit as well as you. Mostly, thank you for showing me what it means to love my mama. You treat her with such respect. I think I am already getting the idea of how to treat a lady. Thank you for that. Thank you for the other million things you do for me and all of the ways you love me. I hope to someday be as good as you at everything.

Sincerely,
Jack

Dear Dad,

I, too, would like to thank you for everything I can remember. Sorry, my letter won't be as long as Jack's. Thank you for letting me sleep on your chest and lay across your lap. You lap is so much longer than Mama's and since my body is long, I really enjoy your lap more. Don't tell Mama though. Thank you for making sure I always have a full drawer of clean clothes and pajamas. Thank you for emptying my diaper container. I know Mama hates that job. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to feed me and hold me. I don't know how you balance your love between my brother and me, but you do it so flawlessly and effortlessly. Thank you for being the best dad a month old could ask for.

Sincerely,
Colin

Story Time

Bath time, Pj's, brush teeth, story and a song.  That's the routine for Jack every night, and he is is starting to do a little of his own reading.  Below is a video of Jack 'reading' one of his favorite books Mr. Brown Can Moo. Can You?  It's a light, summer read.  Nothing a book club could really delve into, but we're pretty impressed.

A Month Under our Belts

Colin has been with us one month already and time sure has flown. Jack has taken being a big brother in stride. With both of us home on summer break, no boy goes without attention. Our days are packed with swimming and napping and playing in the family room. We've had the chance to have friends over, who conveniently bring friends for Jack in the form of their own 2 year olds! :) Life is busy, but great. Enjoy the pictures! We'll try to update often as we know many of you live in other states and rely on the blog for photos.

Sleep when the baby sleeps.  Wherever.
