Fall Fun in MN

Jack and I took a quick trip home to MN the second week of October. We headed back for Molly's (my niece) baptism. I am officially her Godmother. That girl doesn't know how lucky she is...yet!

Mick and Betsy were insistent that we take Jack and Ethan to the fall festivities at a place called The 101 Market. We braved the 45 degree weather and we were so glad we did. The boys had a great time going through a 6 acre corn maze, playing in a HUGE corn pit, and topping the day off with mini donuts, cheese curds and a free mini pumpkin, which Jack clung on to through his sleepy ride home. It was so much fun. Thank you Mick and Betsy for the memory and extra thanks to Mick for the pictures! We owe that one to you both. :)

Second Job

Ben and I have been talking about what we could do to pay for our trips home this Christmas and it finally dawned on us! We are going to rent Jack out for household jobs around the neighborhood. We figure with his pacing, the most beneficial financial choice would be to charge by the hour. :)

Thanks man. Take pictures while you make me work. Nice.

There might be one less cupcake. I kind of ate some batter.

Halloween 2012

Jack had been enamored with Elmo, so we thought that he would appreciate a fuzzy red costume for Halloween.  However, once we put it on, he let us know quickly that he wasn't too keen on walking around the neighborhood as a friendly Muppet.  So when the big candy night finally came, Jack decided to roam the streets as Batman.  He got lots of compliments and candy as the caped crusader.

My New Favortie Place

Jack has enjoyed being back in Arizona. He is rediscovering our house after having been gone for a month. Seems he found a new favorite place...

Taking in some "Nemo".

Hey, hey, hey, wanna play?

Figured you'd wanna play. I'm pretty fun.

Yep, feels sturdy to me.

Summer in Grand Rapids

After time spent with friends on the shores of Lake Michigan, it was time to visit with family in Grand Rapids.  Jack has a new cousin named Lily who we were all excited to meet, and the grandparents were obviously excited to spend some time with Jack as well.
The visit seemed to be focused on the outdoors.  We visited the Frederick Meijer Gardens, Jack helped Grandma Camille water some flowers, and we enjoyed a relaxing day at the beach in Grand Haven.
