The three of us headed up to a
campground about 30 miles east of Payson. Despite all of the wild fire craziness going on there, the good Lord lifted the campfire ban just in time for us to arrive on Saturday morning. What a relief. We were really wondering how we (Ben and I) were going to make it if we couldn't have a fire. Jack, once again, proved that he can handle cold better than both of his parents. He slept well in the 40 degree nighttime temperature and played like a madman during the day, soaking up the mid 70s. We are well over 100 down in the valley so this was a much needed break from the heat. Oh, and not to mention the part about our air conditioning going out!
We enjoyed time with our good friends, Joanna and Dalton Law, and their daughters, Mikaela and Georgia, among many other friends I work with. Georgia is just a week older than Jack, so he had a playmate. It was so fun to see the two of them together, and they both were total troopers. There are many more camping trips in our future with these friends! :)

Fresh air naps are the best! |

I won't go anywhere without my lantern! These woods get dark I hear. |

Where's Waldo? Hint: He's carrying a lantern. |
