As Jack grew to be more mobile and independent, it was clear that the round, red rug that he spent so many hours playing on as a baby just wouldn't suffice. He wants to move everywhere, and the pool in the backyard makes going outside a little difficult.
We decided that for his first birthday, Jack deserved his own play area. Uncle Dan and I undertook a pretty big job, but after a few days of some pretty hard work, Jack has a yard on the side of the house complete with his very own astro-turf. It looks and feels just like real grass, and Jack is thrilled.
We've spent so much time out in our new yard already and look forward to more.
