A little spring break camping

Spring break was a little different this year because Angie was working during most of my days off.  I was able to find a day to get out of Phoenix and take Jack camping for a night near the Tonto National Forrest on Mount Ore.  Jack's friend, Colby, and his dad John joined us for a day of exploring in the woods, finding the perfect stick, and sleeping out under the stars.
The night was cold, but Jack loved every minute of it.

The boys were a little too excited on the drive up the mountain in the packed car.

All mismatched, but bundled up ready to explore.

The sunset and our view.

9 months old already

At nine months Colin is scooting on the floor with his two bottom teeth and four teeth peeking thorough on top.  He is enjoying more solid foods, and he revels in every chance he has to play with his big brother.  He's also been very lucky to have visits from Grandma Pat, Grandma Jeanne, and Grandpas Wayne and Paul.
Spring is in the air here, and we have gotten to spend lots of time outside.  Below are some of our most recent pictures.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas in Arizona

We spent this Christmas at home in Arizona with the boys, sun and 68 degrees.  Normally we head back to the Midwest for the holiday, but this year felt like the right time to start a new family tradition.  The week before Christmas, we had a visit from Grandma Camille and Great Aunt Corinne.  It was wonderful to have some family around for the holiday, and they were eager to get away from all of the snow in Michigan, even for just a weekend.

Disneyland

A few days before Christmas, Jack and I were fortunate enough to tag along with my Speech and Debate team as it travelled to California to compete.  We joined the team on a six hour bus ride to California, and while the students were competing, we spent two days at 'the happiest place on earth.'
We had a wonderful time, and I look forward to taking another trip so Colin and Angie can join us.
