Merry Christmas

With two little guys running around the house, we didn't get Christmas cards sent out to family and friends, so here are a few pictures from our festive holiday.  The boys were also fortunate enough to have visits from Grandma Camille, and Grandma and Grandpa Shellum who came down to celebrate Christmas.

Jack's big June and July

Not to be outdone by his little brother's newfound mobility, Jack has had a wonderful summer too.  In early June he decided it was his time to potty train himself, and he's been doing fantastic in his big boy undies.  He also spent some time with 'Teacher Kim' in pool school as well as swimming every day with us.  The results are in, and Jack is officially swimming.  He loves it, and we couldn't be more proud of him for all of his achievements.

And now he's walking.

We're happy to announce that Colin is getting ready to start running after his big brother.  Baby steps for now, but it'll happen soon.

A trip to the zoo

I woke Jack and Colin up very early this morning to beat the heat and enjoy a morning at the Phoenix Zoo.  We met John and his boys Colby and Gus for a summer morning expedition to visit some animals and play on the splash pad.  The early visit worked well because many of the animals were out and active before the temperatures peaked.  We even made a brief appearance on the morning news (we show up at about 1.30 into the video).

So where should we go first?  Lions?  Giraffes?

Colin's 1st Birthday

We were fortunate to have Grandma and Grandpa Shellum in town to help celebrate Colin's first birthday.  We went to Organ Stop Pizza for dinner and a little entertainment.  The Grand Wurlitzer even played a special number for Colin's birthday.  Colin enjoyed some cake, and played his new instrument from his Godparents for the rest of the night.
Happy Birthday big guy.  It's been a fantastic year!

Catching up

We've had two sick little boys at our house lately.  The days and nights have been tough as the boys struggle to feel better.  It feels like a good time to post some pictures of our happy little boys to remind us of when they're feeling better.
